Tom Morello lays out the choices facing Americans: Tyranny, Revolution or more of the Same… Lucky for us, Morello is dropping a collab “Unconquered” with Irish band ‘Kneecap’ who he calls “clearly the Rage Against The Machine of now.” That new single drops on September 25th as part of his forthcoming new solo rock album, “Everyone Gets Everything They Want“.

“American Vertigo” filmed by Patrick de Warren. I am struck by how current many of the questions, concerns, and voices still feel. The film was never simply about one movement. For me, it was an attempt to capture a moment in America — to listen, observe, and understand what was beneath the surface.

Alec Baldwin – “Occupy is one of the Few Such Movements That Has Given People Hope”

In a video tribute to the team at Occupy Wall Street that staged the OWS 15th Anniversary” at Zuccotti Park this past Wednesday, Baldwin applauded them for bringing the organization back into public awareness.

“I look forward to seeing a movement with sustained power that can help create a better world. I believe OWS2026 can do just that,” he declares in a video posted at the Occupy2026 website.

Wow, that’ a tough – let’s call it a promise from Occupy2026 – to fulfill. Activist Donna Stein, president of the New York City Friends of Clearwater and co-host of Eco-Logic on WBAI captured the spirt from 15 years ago in her statement to Claude Solnik in an AM NY article.

“It was a wonderful community of people covering many ages,” Stein, who had been part of the environmental solidarity working group, added. “Not everybody agreed on every issue. It was interracial, inter-generational.”

Author and activist Cryn Johannsen, one of the OWS spokespeople, assures the AM NY readers that community – not tribes, not silos – would enjoy that same experience.

“We will pull together the collective forces that will have feet-on-the-street as well as people-in-power, and they will be smoothly joined in an unstoppable force,” she said. “Failing that, America itself with fail.”

“There’s a T-Shirt there that has your name on it.”
